After a couple of smaller projects (my Halloween skirt and a couple of pairs of shorts for idgiebay), I decided to make my first dress.

Except I'm making two. Hopefully they'll be ready for us to wear when we go to Disneyland's first official pride event next week.

This is the bodice for idgiebay's! The pattern is The Boatneck Dress from Gertie Sews Jiffy Dresses.

This one. The skirt's gonna be a rainbow patterned fabric, of course.

I'm learning so much from the book/pattern. A+ resource.

It's kinda funny, I opened this plurk and instantly went "that's a Gertie pattern isn't it" and yup, I was right.

lol I'm not surprised her stuff is very recognizable. She's pretty iconic.

I stumbled across her YouTube channel and fell in love. That's where my first skirt came from, too. I think it was called The Picnic Skirt.

When I make my way through all her free patterns I need to join her Patreon for a while.

Forgot to gush about idgiebay getting me a dress form. <333 Hopefully I'll be getting a lot of use out of it.

It seems like it! It's a Singer. The size range is enough that I can use it for clothes for both of us.

I can't wait to see it, either. Every bit I finish makes me more excited for what's next.
