TOTK QUESTION Do the Gloombeasts spawn randomly or are they in set locations? I've seen enough people say one or the other that I have no idea which is correct and any time I travel somewhere remote, I start getting nervous like "it's up here somewhere i know it is"
i'm pretty sure that's the case for every enemy in the game? and they're definitely no exception, so you can safely stamp a "BAD HAND GUYS ARE HERE" and avoid that space for eternity
that's generally how I gauge whether or not I'm in a dangerous area, too. "There's an NPC walking down the road, this is probably fine, there's a bokoblin camp over there, okay, THIS AREA IS DEVOID OF ANYTHING, SOMETHING BAD IS PROBABLY UP HERE"
YES. TOTK is SO much scarier than BotW. Like, I landed on a ledge in the Faron Region and was like "that's awfully small for a chasm, isn't i-oh no" "SHRIEEEEEEEK" literally turned around and jumped right back off the cliff
The devs were like "oh, you all want more enemy types? Well, OKAY" We went from an endless parade of funny little guys with the occasionally scary guy to a blob of hatred that screams when it sees you and will immediately try to strangle you
imo even the scary guys of botw eventually became like "oh hi! " but christ even when i know EXACTLY where the hands are, am expecting them, am prepared to fight them, they still manage to make me jump
Oh definitely. It's been so long since I played BotW that all I remembered was how easy it was to take out enemies by the end and forgot how hard it was starting out. BotW: oh a lynel is no big deal anymore TotK: a lizalfo spit on me and kicked my ass immediately
