Fireworks in Vancouver ! At least in this every place I’ve lived is the same, fireworks from the 2nd to the 8th day and night even when it’s illegal lmao. Thankfully my dogs are heavily socialized to fireworks so they couldn’t give a shit save Mira, who just tries to police the neighborhood when people are loud like the shepherd she is.
Fireworks on our walk? Even feet away? No issues. Fireworks in the distance when we’re home? “Shut the fuck up you delinquents!!” Mira says, as loudly as she’s allowed.
I wish people were more responsible and would contain their fireworks usage but the best thing I can do as an owner is make sure my dogs aren’t going to panic during something I have no control over, like storms and dumbasses. So they don’t really care about fireworks.
The new house also has a small finished basement that’s now the dogs space, so that’s nice too. Safe, cool, and sound dampened.

Eli never cared about fireworks which was awesome, he'd sleep through thunderstorms, the only time he'd freak out was if a motorcycle went by

Eli did the lunge and bark too, weirdly not when they were off? I had a friend I ran into with his bike in a parking lot by my house while I was walking Eli, he went right up to him, laid his head in his lap while he was sitting on the bike, totally fine. the second he started it up to go after we finished chatting tho Eli flipped.
