Still need to get farming, bug catching, fishing and cooking up to 10 to access the weeklies but overall just having fun with it. I don't feel rushed to do anything
TO BE FAIR. I've been playing since closed beta so lol
And I played during the stress tests so I already knew what to do starting up the closed beta
They did wipe post-alpha before beta started but obviously, you still have ... advantage isn't the right word but like, you already learned what not to do
that art style looks so cute
It's stylized consistently and just the npcs are delightfully done
I really like hunting and when you kill a sernuk (deer) it does a cute little smoke poof and you get a bag of goodies where the animal was
Furniture crafting is ABSOLUTELY the end-game. Furniture is so costly for materials
....i have a FFXIV joke i could make but you wouldn't understand it so lol
IT CUTE. I love the styles
However, the interface is a nightmare atm
They have 0 categories and like 30 different recipes per style and there's ... maybe 8 styles? 10?
So it's just a MASSIVE list you have to tediously scroll through.
hopefully they'll fix that eventually
Yeah, it's not a BIG deal like making sure the servers are keeping up with open beta
But it needs to be on their to-do list. I'm sure it is.
Right now my current tactics are selling extras from my garden and hunting to make coin, investing toward inventory so I can be done with those upgrades
If I have mats, I'll make whatever furniture I can to unlock more recipes. Every new furniture piece you craft you unlock a recipe of the same set so I just want to craft everything lmao
But my house is stuck in limbo. Upgrading the house is also more coin and so I'll focus on house stuff after all the inventory/storage gets squared away. By then I'll have most recipes I think, ha
i have enough housing woes with FFXIV lmao
My tiny one room house

Other half, same one room
But I have 100s of furniture items I just can't use until I manage the funds for bigger house additions
So for now we stay cute and modest uwu
heck yeah, there is something to be said for having a single room to decorate! it makes you choose your options carefully
Yeah, it suffices for now
a thing that annoys me with the crafting interface is it closes immediately after you make the item, and resets when you reopen it
it is v cute tho, v chill game
quest log is terrible at giving directions tho LOL
oh lordy, i find crafting hard enough in games when it doesn't do that. if i choose to play this i'll probably avoid crafting for the moment
er, that is in games when the crafting menu opens back up and it's on the thing you were making
it's hard enough with that lol
please tell me your money generation secrets I am in constant poverty
cuuuute lil house. mine is bare bones atm, I really hope emotes are added to use the furniture at some point I want cute sitting pics of my character enjoying her lil house
what is indeed the point of having a cute little house if you can't take pictures of your character sitting in the chairs or laying in the bed?
MONEY GENERATION: I sell the excess farming seeds/produce, hunt anything that moves and process it to leather, sell the excess leather and the extra meat. The horns from sernuk are great to sell. When you have slow down arrows the Tier 2 sernuk (dark brown) is much easier to hunt. Their horns sell for 100g each
But you can generate money doing anything except furniture crafting. A lot of people love fishing or bug catching for income. I'm more a hunting person. It's just fun to chase and determine what arrow is best
Please if you hunt the azure chapaa or sernuk PLEASE use a dispel arrow. It drives me batty when people poke it with iron arrows and then no one can keep up in the chase lol
Dispel is expensive but so worth it if you want to hunt them more seriously
BUT YA the crafting menu is nightmarish but unavoidable. There's a tools section, furniture section and like larger utensil kinda section. Without it I'd give up ha
When you get to the higher ranks you can craft repair kits in bulk with higher tier wood/metals
the x40 is enough I think
I enjoy the fishing I like the mechanic
A lot of people use fishing for income so it's definitely very viable
