any trigger warnings i should be aware of
i can rec one of my fave gl manga but it's like uh
it's. it's a lot. it's a LOT
Log Horizon is my fave anime--think of it as the better Sword Art Online. Isekai that cares about both MMORPG mechanics and, like. Economies.
I've been watching Spy X Family and been enjoying that.
Anything in particular you’re craving?
+1 Log Horizon I love it to death
Log Horizon very good, can confirm.
The anime is fun but the light novel is where all the fun MMO meat is
hmmmm nothing i can really name in particular. i like horror and more psychological type shows but also down with fantasy and sci fi and slice of life. some shonen though i'm not gonna watch 100+ episodes tbh
macross plus is honestly really good, it was made by newcomer director, writer and composer who would later go on to make cowboy bebop so you can like imagine the vibes
for horror, another is a fun watch, it's an adaptation of a novel and is a short anime + a prequel 2 eps ova
i was looking at another yeah
I had been watching Jormungand too, and been enjoying that.
the atmospheric horror in that series is really great, definitely recommend it
I enjoyed summertime rendering a lot
Serial Experiments Lain for psychological stuff if you haven't seen that
Another is a favorite of mine also (I am here to rec the light novel for that one also once again bc it explains the concept a lot more, but the anime is a fun intro)
for something relaxing but plotty but also full of delicious looking food, join me in ACCA13 hell
the fandom is tiny but the series is just really good
it's basically travelogue political intrigue with bread as an extremely important motif
ooo i will look into this
you would definitely like another
idk if you've ever seen shiki but that feels like something you'd like too
but also the hit 55 minute episode of fate strange fake whispers of dawn
if it has flat escardos in it that's a done deal
whats shiki about :
people suddenly start dying of a mysterious illness in the middle of a higurashi-style village in the middle of nowhere
though it's not a mystery for long since it's revealed relatively quickly in and then it's about The Themes instead
dont you worry there is a lot of flat escardos
ooooo ok i will check it out
odd taxi which is like a murder mystery with animals
shiki is, like, higurashi meets salem's lot and it rules
mononoke which is japanese horror
also highly recommend anything by daisuke igarashi
Heike Monogatori / The Heike Story is a very beautiful retelling of the 13th century epic the Tale of the Heike, framed through a girl who can see the future with one eye.
very much about loss and how we move through life dealing with it
I am also enjoying My Happy Marriage, although it's pretty standard shoujo romance stuff.
