I'm just watching Star Trek Into Darkness. They really didn't need Khan's blood to save Kirk. They had 72 other "meta humans" on board. 
And how come they walk from one place to another in the Enterprise? Spock had to physically run to the engine room, etc. It's a big shop. Why can't they just ban themselves to wherever they're supposed to go?
