if I were to list my FIRST games it would be Lemmings, Sonic, Warcraft 1-3, Age of Empires, and...Mech Warrior 3 I think? All games I played at my grandparents' house after watching my uncle play them lmao
he has the patience of a saint and would let four or five year old me sit at his elbow while he played and pepper him with endless questions
he also gave me my first game system, a sega genesis
unsurprisingly, he now works in game dev in Germany
I followed in his footsteps at the same school in the same program. Discovered it wasn't really for me a bit too late and graduated with a degree in computer animation and game design that's been gathering dust ever since lol
Incidentally he's also the only ally I had in a house full of conservatives. Without his influence I suspect I would be a very different person, or at the very least would've had a much more difficult time being ME
