I wish you played Magic because I need another card flipper to talk to.
Ever thought maybe you should start playing KeyForge?
So, I've been doing MTG:A, so I can craft my cards and don't actually have to spend much money or have physical storage.
I know if I started collecting the real stuff again I'd not stop.
I used to have a serious (like, spending rent money) issue with CCGs.
It looks a lot of fun though
That's fair, and I'll admit that online play does fix one of the concerns I have with CCGs, having my collection stolen/ruined. But at this point I find Magic to just have so much cruft as I haven't played it in literally 20 years.
Oh yeah, it's still terrifyingly broken, but...for what I'm doing it's kind of charming.
Throwing a mono red deck at everyone is fun until it's not
It's still pretty great. Nothing in my deck costs more than 4, and every creature has haste.
I'm Plat 2 at the moment, trying to get to at least diamond.
Yeah, my issue with online play though is that it's so impersonal. I like being able to sit across from a real person.
Oh no, that's fair. For me, it's probably for the best. I get...mouthy when I play magic I find.
Like, I talk so much smack while playing that my fiancee just starts laughing.
Like, at first I was confused about MTGA not letting people chat.
And then I realized _why_
Oh yes there's a good reason for no chat, I agree.
Just it feels really weird to me.
I used to play MTG (and I might do MTGA again at some point), but for a number of reasons I dropped out of it.
but I still try to keep my ear to the ground about stuff
