BRUH THIS MORNING WAS SO LONG AND CRAP
Katie has been having a massive pain spike
So she's been taking more than her usual amount of pain medication.
To give you an idea, her normal pain meds is more than the average person can handle without dying. She's just built up such an incredible tolerance that ... without going into details. What can kill someone else is like her taking an ibuprofen for a headache.
Point is, she's a bit out of it. It's hard for her to concentrate. THINGS CAN GO WRONG
She gets a call from "Amazon" about $11,000 purchase and that she's in ~big~ trouble
So she's put on hold for some "govt agency" and then eventually another "govt agency"
AND I am only eavesdropping
And they told her "DON'T TELL ANYONE. THIS IS A PROBLEM. YOU ARE IN TROUBLE"
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I'm texting Alex in the meantime who is waiting to call Katie because
Alex is a nurse and ya know. Her daughter. So she is worried about the pain flare up
I'm trying to explain to Katie. IT'S A SCAM GOV'T NEVER CALLS YOU ahjksahda
And she's SHUSHING me cause she's spooked
Eventually I just google the details on what scams look like. Send her a google search or 3 by text because I keep getting irl shushed
SHE DOES read it thank fuuuuuuuuck
And I'm texting her like HANG UP. STOP TALKING. JUST HANG UP
ffs THEY WANTED HER to go all the way to the bank and withdraw 11,000 FUCKING DOLLARS for this scam
The perks of living in the boonies
What was she gonna do, mail it to them???
If it was closer. If it wasn't so outlandish I wouldn't have had much time to confront her about it
Usually they have you go and withdraw
Oh I am screaming at the withdrawing of that amount of money (omg autocorrect NO)
But they don't tell you what to do until after the withdrawal
Because it's like YOUR BANK COULD BE IN ON IT
She did not leave the house
How sus. But then again they target vulnerable people so it doesn't have to make sense, they just have to keep their target running scared long enough for it to work
She would have taken a car ALL THE WAY to the bank just to be robbed
So we've been in damage control for the whole rest of today and I'm exhausted lmao
Lot's of bank calls, lot's of relaying info to Alex and my dad. And lot's of making sure Katie remembers to eat and take care of herself
Honestly, I think most of the crisis is over. But she can't relax until it's DONE done. Which is causing more stress and more pain and then she's trying to take more medicine which is making it harder to do the things
And the harder it gets to sort the things, the more she stresses...... oh my goodness this cycle
Good grief, what would she do if I was still in Floridia
I just got back 2 days ago

I am tired
