starting off, satoko hojo from higurashi. it's in her permissions, that's a lesbian.
there's a timeline in which she ends up marrying into the kimiyoshi family? which i don't really think means anything lol because it reads to me as primarily about creating a family and a place for herself in hinamizawa more so than actually marrying for love.
as for her type i could just say it's rika but uhhh more generally i think satoko likes people that enjoy her specific brand of chaos and are able to keep up with her in turn. she very much craves someone who both loves her and treasures her and also (controversially) respects her. beyond that... she'd just like a partner that can keep up with her goblinhood
misty quigley from yellowjackets is............... bisexual (???)
it's complicated with her
ok so actually getting into misty's relationship to sexuality, christina ricci said that she interprets misty's interest in men as fairly shallow, and mostly out of a more general need for love and a belief that it's what she's supposed to want. but they did give her a boyfriend in season 2 that she seemed to be more genuinely into.
so i think it's less about gender and more about idealizing people she barely knows as romantic prospects versus people who actually get to know her. she fixates and obsesses over all of the yellowjackets in a distant but intense infatuation that has more to do with what they represent, but she doesn't recognize it as like, akin to her crush on coach ben
so she doesn't really have a set type, though i think in particular she always had a particular fondness for natalie because of natalie's status as a fellow outsider but in like, a much cooler and more aloof outsider. so if misty has a type it's that, loners who are cool and aloof and don't seem to give a fuck about how they're perceived.
also i feel like she has a female lean, at least romantically, but i don't think she particularly registers it
anyway! aelwyn abernant from fantasy high. she's bisexual. i tend to do a lot more f/f with her than m/f, to the point that i can think of one m/f thread. but she's bi. she has a specific type for women who are morally bankrupt/intensely ruthless and generally even more commanding than she is. there are exceptions to this, like mercy who has a ruthless
streak but is a generally good person and the first person to really treat aelwyn with just. unconditional kindness (when i tell you it baffled her...). otherwise she's pretty sexually fluid since she mostly used it as a form of escape and self destruction from her extremely miserable life.
damian wayne from batman is bisexual, with a pretty big fem lean. he's had canonical love interests across a variety of different continuities and while they're not always particularly well written i do think his feelings make sense in all of them. but he and jon have their whole... thing.
there was a scrapped plan to have him and jon as the "magneto and xavier of the dc universe" which is very funny to me even if the reality would be horrible on a writing and character development level.
in terms of his type... i think damian generally gravitates towards people who he can understand their grief. specifically people who have their own relationship with a dark legacy they're expected to follow and the strength of will to defy it. damian's shaped his identity around this idea of him being defined by al ghul vs wayne as an ideological conflict
within him and he tends to gravitate towards people who sort of know what that's like.
but it's not like, a hard rule.
