Katie's having an ER visit

They found pockets of air between her organs

I have literally no idea what that can do or like how they will fix it but it sounds not great

She has a pain pump and I'm guessing it miiight be the culprit?? I don't know how she did that

They didn't take long to admit her and so I was sent home to twiddle my thumbs and take care of the dog while we await news

They did a ct scan and now an x-ray and my dad said he's just chilling in a hospital room with Katie while they wait to hear if she can go home tonight or not

Meanwhile, I have been left to my own devices so I have lit the fireplace, poured some wine and have holiday music blasting because I guess this is how I'm coping with the wait anxiety

Brody is entirely unimpressed with my antics

So it's nothing they can keep her overnight for and sounds like there are further appointments being scheduled, just in case

For the most part, big relief that it isn't a big emergency, but on the other hand it's still worrisome that we aren't sure what's going on

I hope so too .-. It isn't causing much discomfort but it sounds like they want to monitor it before they react to it

Everyone is home now, at least. My dad found a pizza place and spent 30 min complaining about another pizza place while he ate from this pizza place and then chugged half a wine bottle via shot glass lmao

He was too lazy to find a wine glass but I guess whatever works
