Hey all, so it seems you need to have someone friended to send them a gift, but Steam isn't making it easy to friend someone. Does anyone know a good way to friend someone if you only have access to their wishlist?

mundofine: It shouldn't be obligatory, HOWEVER, you can always PP the person to request their friend code 
It IS obligatory, if you try to check out and select it's a gift to someone, you can only select someone from your friends list, unless I'm totally missing something. So people should probably drop their usernames for people to friend, or request PPs
mundofine: By saying it shouldn't be I meant that it's pretty unfair of steam to set that standard, but if you'd like, drop your wishlist with your friend code / username for requests. I'll also make a note of it at the top!

Ohh sorry I misunderstood, I agree but apparently people kept being scammed by people pretending to be their friends or something so they made the change? It sucks
