misty and lottie!

moonlanding: god. they were so good. we only had them briefly but i really enjoyed the way they threaded the line between camaraderie and this mutual way that they were assuming the role of like... accomplice with one another, mixed with their own respective resentments.

they're two people who struggle greatly to communicate with the rest of the cast, so you'd think they'd be okay at understanding each-other, but they are in fact actually doubly as terrible at it.

when they were in ashbrook, misty felt like she had to resign herself to doing all the dirty work because lottie wouldn't want any part in it, because she recognized that she had misjudged lottie and mistaken her for being a lot more ruthless than she really is. misty doing this felt like condescension to lottie and felt like she had to prove herself. cue

the two of them continuing to talk past one another like dumb idiots.
