sometimes you take a character about a week before their canonical redemption arc and then put them on a three year journey to become their absolute worst self.

i'll probably do a big retrospective but yeah this is really aelwyn's bad end self. she's worked out some of her issues regarding her fear, and she's much more comfortable showing her love but it's in such absolutely extreme ways. she gained friends, she lost them, she gained goals, they were corrupted, and she finally decided to be evil not for her parents

sake but for her own <3

so yeah now she's just absolutely insane with megalomania and wizard hubris

switalia: late reply but aelwyn.... doesn't think she's lying, really. she absolutely thinks this will help people, it's just that there isn't really any part of her left that cares about other people outside of the very few she has resolutely decided to love (mercy and adaine). her brain is jumping between like

"i can cure myself / i can become a god / i can kill the entities / other people can kill the entities / i can go home and see my sister again / i can go home and murder my parents"

but she does think that no matter what she does, it will (probably) help people eventually.
