yeah tension can be a problem. i tend to just hold my yarn, i don't wrap it around my fingers

i find that doesn't let me have the control i need

i finally finished teagan's spiral throw, even though i haven't blocked it yet

i should just teach myself, there's too many cute things I want to make but can't yet

tbh knitting is nowhere near as complicated as crocheting, you could even make a transition from crocheting to tunesian knitting (aka it's a super long crochet needle)

knitting it just literally binary, with some variations that can look complicated, but with practice, really isn't-- granted i can't read charts super well (thanks learning disabilities), but there's all sorts of written patterns and people will usually translate if you ask ravelry

also i highly recommend investing in chiagoo's knitting interchangeable circular needle set if you decide knitting is for you

i use those whether i'm working flat or in the round (meaning making tubes)

plus the steel cable in the center gives bigger pieces structure and room that straight needles can't

......nope i totally haven't sunk hundreds of dollars into this hobby and rarely finished any projects /sweats

(also if you haven't checked out eat.sleep.knit, it does knit/crochet alongs for stuff and in general is a great place to order yarn)

my favorite colorway from them was "picking sprinkles out of my cleavage"

and i still have a skein of "i like long walks on the beach and burning bridges" around, too, but all the projects i wanna do need more of it than i have

and i also have one from them in worsted (i usually work in fingering or sport weight) called "who's crying now??? me... it's me" (really pretty variegated pink and cream with purple speckling)

I got the front panels attached to the back, both sleeves attached and one side fully seamed tonight.
