congratz. What is workplace award?
Our company gives out awards for outstanding contributors for this quarter. Apparently, I got nominated and won the award.
o an award to recognized the contributor. Haha! Nice.
CONGRATS!!!
hardwork exchange award, that is rite.
put money where their mouth is
its like a soldier risking his life for a medal
Strangely enough I feel the same way. I expect to see something come performance review time, but right now I'll just smile politely.
Actually though you got it wrong.
This soldier didn't risk his life FOR the medal.
but at the same time, Veterans die poor
He risked his life to get his job done - the medal was really just recognition that life was risked.
if this award gives you a better performance bonus... fine.
Yeah well, just pointing that out.
I hope it does. If it doesn't I'm definitely raising it as an issue.
if it doesn't, then you're jus a lemming.
It's supposed to be a nice glowing letter for my personnel file.
You're a lemming if you're doing it for the award.
Which I don't think anyone does.
More like just something that happens after the fact.
some people are happy to be recognised.
if its a volunteer thing... then its proper payment
I am certainly happy to be recognised, not as much as I think the awarder would like.
Nah, it's contributing over and above the line of duty. So the medal analogy is really quite apt.
but if its work, then money talks baby
I just hope this means you get a better performance bonus
Perhaps. A promotion would be nice, so would money and leverage to do my job more easily also helps.
Though I have to add that you might be putting the cart before the horse.
To me, it's honestly just one of those pleasant things - what it actually translates into, I have no idea.
There are -some- things I'd like it to translate into, much like how a medal-wearing soldier tends to earn promotion faster.
But I think it's way too soon to tell.
And again, I'll say that you raise some good points and might be deliberately misrepresenting some points just to sound more provocative.
jus call me an asshole. Its faster and less PC.
Why should I? I don't think the term "asshole" is an accurate one for you.
then pray tell what would be more.... apt.
Exactly what I said - you have some good points, and deliberately misrepresent some points to be provocative.
think of a singular shorter representation that describes me.
How about "Needs a hug"?
lol! Well TK_ did raise a gd point. I tink tk rather want a woman hug than a man hug. Haha!
I'm actually figuring that starving TK of aggro might cause a transformation - or it might turn him an interesting shade of purple.
omb! I doubt that will happen!
*facepalm* the sad and funny thing is that the comprehension probably was totally missed.
