KDE or Gnome? Fab convinced you to give the KDE version a whirl?

KDE 4 because I've tried the Gnome version already under vmware fusion. Haven't listened to LO yet.

I haven't either, but I'm guessing Fab liked the KDE version. I remember him saying something along the lines of:

"This is how KDE should be"

Really pretty, prettier than the screenshots look I think. Dunno if I can be bothered to wipe my ubuntu partition though

That's the beauty of Linux, no need to wipe. Just create a separate partition

yeah but I've got a small windows partition too and I don't really want to mess around with the MBR

external hard drive, thumb drive, delete windows and put in a Virtual Box...

Or, just put the KDE desktop on your ubuntu, and change when you log in. I have KDE and Gnome on mine. Use Gnome 99.9% of the time

Can't delete windows, it's needed for gaming, and external hdd with a laptop? Nah.

And Kubuntu is horrible, been there done that and don't want to return.
