what do you guys think about that?
I think it's kind of stupid. the part about rock music putting "seeds of rebellion in young people's hearts and minds" it doesn't implant
that is so stupid. >.> I would quit the school immediately. I don't care if I had to go through another year of school elsewhere.
them... they are alredy there and rock music is just their by-product.
and the school shouldn't... no CAN'T control what they students do out side of school. And then, another thing
if the principal was going to suspend the student for attending prom why would he sign a paper saying he could go?
if dancing is against school policy, why would the principal say he could go?
because maybe he doesn't like the student?
then why would he make a decision then put it before a commitee?
he should let the commitee make the initial decision if he was going to ask their oppinion afterwards anyway?
he could have not signed the paper because of his own school policy.
when one school needs a signed thing from the other school they are asking if that student can go to this prom.
if there were any reason for him not to go to prom then the principal wouldn't sign the form.
all I'm saying is it was the principls decision to tell the student he could go to the prom by signing the paper. he signed the paper
and that said there were no problems with going to the prom. but then he comes back later and says that he talked to
the coucil and they said that if you go you risk suspention.
"England acknowledged signing the form but warned Frost there would be consequences if he attended the dance."
yeah, but the school can't control what they do outside of school, unless it's illigal.
last time I checked, dancing isn't illigal
nomater what you sign. I agree with the step father.
I can't read this because you guys keep replying and jerking the page down again. >.>
yeah, it is kinda funny, but it still is a gross injustice.
and having a school say you can't go to a dance at another school because it's against school policy and you will be suspened
it's about the school over stepping it's bounderies and controling the students desicion. if I were in his place I would go to prom too.
and it wouldn't be about prom, it would be about the school learing it's place. to teach me, not contol me or threaten me.
but it can't control what you do outside of campus.
no, the school's influence stops at the front gates. they can't threaten you with suspention for something perfectly legal
you choose to do in your private life.
no, because they pay the school to teach the students "the right way" christian schools are there for parents who want their children to be
taught a certain way. it's not religious freedom for a school to kick a student out because he watned to be a part of his girlfriends life.
that is just taking choices and opportunities away from students so that they will life thier lives in the way that athority figures want t
I don't like religions or schools or people who tell you that you can't do something that doesn't harm anyone because it's "bad" or "evil"
summer, should a private school be able to tell you what you can or can not wear while you are off campus?
or tell them what music to listen to or what television shows to watch whem the student is at home?
so you think that it's alright for a school to tell you what to do when you aren't at school?
you are paying them to teach you in a certain way. You are paying to have your children taught in a certin envromnet, not have the school
control what they do outside of school.
