it might make for some cheaper domains but it may also be a pain in the neck for brands and trademark holders.

I think .com is where its at but internationally i am finding mostly companies with .for Mexico and .for Italy

so as dominant as .com is in USA it is easy to get in other countries already and common to add the country identifier .

.com will still be most people's first choice

it will be interesting to see what moves the speculators make when this opens up - I'm sure it will be Wild Wild West for a spell

it should add some nice abilities for certain groups to create niches, but .com will always be it place

it will open up more names...which is needed.
