Vista is not too bad. You get used to it.

I couldn't get Boot Camp to partition the drive so I gave up.

so did you reinstall os x and boot camp still couldn't partition the drive?

Yeah, but I reinstalled without erasing and I think that was my problem. I'm going to leave it for another day. I spent about 5hrs on it.
