26 miles is a LONG walk!

I have just come looking for your plurks from yesterday claudecf - thank you so much for posting all the messages and Boos - it was

good to know that there were so many people rooting for us. Over 7,000 people registered to walk but many didn't finish because of the

weather - strong winds (as you heard) and the rain combined to make it a rough day - particularly on the exposed downs

I will definitely be back next year - the hospice does such a wonderful job they deserve every penny they get - my mother died there in 2006

and I did my first walk for them after that (also in pouring rain - and I finished), last year because I wanted to do it in good weather

and this year because our dear friend Kevin lost his ten year battle with cancer - I will try to do it every year if I can - it feels good

to complete it and I can't let this year beat me!
