wondered about finals. Would there be a time to provide them before kids in H.S. have "checked Out"? Or will it matter?

Thinking out loud. Would it be better to have finals a bit earlier and then do all the fun stuff at the end of the year?

I'm thinking things like assemblies, speakers, field trips, etc.

Maybe doing "applied" things in different classes. More hands on type projects that are interesting, but "not on the test."
