I would suggest asking a vet. Reason being they are asked this type of question all the time and can offer the answer based on the type of

Dog. The last thing you want is some prefumy thing with underlining dog smell.

LOL he is a very well behaving pet and it's not my house, so i can't even suggest to get rid of it. but i was hoping to plug in some magic

well, yeah, those plug ins are really great. otherwise, you might want to mention odor-fighting shampoo/conditioner.

The dog probably has allergies though, which is what is causing the odor. (and it is NOT a pleasant one)

You could try a Febreeze-style pet odor plug-in, but it's probably not going to help much. You will desensitize to the smell over time,
