apparently, in California, you *can* eliminate a civil right guaranteed in the state constitution with a popular vote

There is very little that's civil about taking away people's rights.

I was pretty pissed when I heard that earlier. I had the honor of being at my brother-in-law's wedding to his partner of 28 years last Nov.
