for those with college degrees...are you doing EXACTLY what you wanted to do? Or are you just making money.

A lot of people I know dont end up doing what they went to school for. By a lot, I mean everyone I know.

I'm not doing what I wantED to do. I'm doing what I want to do :-) I got a degree in English with the intent of becoming an English teacher

But I actually figured out that my passion was in the arts, visual arts and design, so I decided to just work my career toward that

instead. But, on the flipside, almost everyone I know is doing what they intended to do ... those with bio degrees went on to med/pharm

schools; those with social sci/english degrees did law, those who were CS/Engineers became programmers/engs

And, like everyone else had said--no schooling is a waste of time. It builds different kinds of skills. Mostly, college = test of endurance

i was Computer Science and there is no way in hell i will be doing programming for living. i would srsly die young... but that's just me :-P

and frankly its sad because ALOT of people i know are struggling to find business jobs

and they make little to no money. i had no degree and i was making over 40000 a year. thats like the starting salary for any business job

anyway, my point is...my friends are stuck with their jobs making no money and i feel that going to school is pointless now.

ive always done well for myself. i dont wanna be a doctor or lawyer.i dont have the brains for that

i would venture to say that it is unwise to think that a degree is worthless in the long run. Even if you don't do what you "intended" to do
