yes I'm really asking in terms of plurk. Like if somebody adds you as a fan, do you 1) add them back as a fan/follow plurks 2) add as friend

here on plurk?? uhm kung friend you can be on your friend's timeline pag fan e you won't be seen but you can see theirs..

..or 3) ignore if you really don't know them

if you add someone as a friend, you can see each other's plurks ...

if you add someone as a fan, you can see their plurks but they can't see yours

also, you can set your plurks to be for friends only ... in which case, people who have added you as fans and vice versa can't see the post

It depends really. When summady adds me and I don't know them or if they seem ~boring~ I add them as a "fan".

On the flipside, I usually just become fans of plurkers I find interesting. I don't add them right away, it seems too presumptuous.

when you use private plurks, you can set it to friends only or certain friends lang. Fans won't be able to see those.

people need to be your friends para malagay mo rin sila sa cliques, sorta like groups, to better control yung private messages.

also, I'm not sure if the plurk karma system has changed since I joined, but usually if you get someone to friend you, that's karma for both

parties. But if you only add someone as a fan, only the person who gets a fan gets the karma.
