Hi David! Great to see you here. I loved the Twebinar. I'd love to see more live Q&A/discussion
maybe even responding to questions that are submitted in advance if live is too hard to follow
Hi Amber - thanks yes others had similar feedback.
wifi at the coffeshop was a mistake. slow video buffering meant that I missed the end of each video segment.
We have most of the content pre-taped from the pros but might be able to include more Brogan live time for Q&A perhaps?
Hey there Bruce. Yeah, others with Wifi connections had similar problems. Probably should recommend larger bandwidth on next one.
didn't get to spend 2 much time on the last one..are there pen slots for other speakers,,have someone in mind
I liked the twebinar. Think the videos should be available before hand so people can follow along without having to stream...
the Twitter widget displayed was hard to follow and a bit distracting.
I was on a fast connection, so had no video problems.
also, need an interface which allows the video and the chat on the same screen. spent too much time flipping and lost some converstation
George, sorry you missed parts of the last one - gonna get the link to the rebroadcast soon to share so can catch up.
there should be a twitter account/tag for discussions about the twebinar from folks involved & a diff 1 for tech complaints.
George - as for speakers we are keeping a list for the next series so let me know. david [at}
radian6.com
Justin, good thought only if the videos aren't in sync the concurrent convo could become confusing. Am I right?
Twitter stream in the same window was definitely brought up as well. We are looking into that - the one we had onscreen was up and down
thanks David..also, what if a client wanted 2 launch its won twebinar series..that something you guys do?
myklroventine - good point on the sep tech address - had lots of votes for that.
David, thanks for polling the community here. Love the way Radian6 engages with social media.
georgedearing - you aren't the first to ask today

Let's chat and see what's possible.
chrisbrogan thoughts from Crosstech?
thanks
connie - well I really loved how your plurkshop idea took off and wanted to try it out myself. Lovin' it.
the plurkshops have been amazing. Love to have you join us. I did not get to attend Twebinar last time. Won't miss another one!
thanks davidalston for listening
perhaps there had been fewer speakers speaking more deeply. Found the Twebinar didn't engage me as much as had hoped for that reason.
Thanks
connie Yes we'd definitely love to have you part of the next Twebinar conversation (and interviewed for a future series perhaps?)
what I loved about the twebinar was diverse speakers-not all A-Listers!
myklroventine - thanks for your ideas - I love listening - comes with the territory I guess
ggroovin - I hear ya. I found the longer interviews would also give more time for Twitter discussion too.
davidalston The case studies were particularly valuable. The SM space in general needs more and more testimonials about what's working
and even what has bombed. i'd find that interesting.
aaronMSB - Great point. Myklroventine and others mentioned that as well. Should be easy enough to do.
that all of this great feedback will be here in one list for me to work from for the next twebinar. Lovin' the plurkshop.
i agree that live Q&A would have been nice. Good variety in speakers...
bit too much content, not enough depth. Including the twitter stream on scream with with vids would major improvement as would a live Q&A.
the main issue i heard from attendees at my office was too many screens to follow
vargusl - Thanks. With so many great speakers to shoot at the conferences we shot at it was hard to stop at 30 or so
but thats the nature of twitter...for good and bad
there was a reply button on plurk.
AmberCadabra - thanks - I think case studies really are great for "turning on the lightbulbs" for those just wading into social media.
fweetieb - we may look for a way to integrate the screens somehow - we have a thought on this but open to ideas.
I love the concept. Blogged about it. I think using Plurk would make thread easier to follow.
I think some type of app combining twitter and summize screens would make for better following.
kerryg - thanks - sums it up well in this plurkshop thus far. Interviews were prerecorded but maybe could feature deeper ones?
pchaney - yes, thanks for that blog (saw it on the BB while camping this weekend) - I'm thinking plurk might be cool as well.
pchaney - yeah - the 3 screens were a bit hard to manipulate - especially from an admin side too

(cool hat pic btw)
davidalston thinking that if Chris is there saying "we are going to do part 3" again, then people can run their local copy
and then participate in the conversation via the browser. I could also resize the player and the browser so I don't miss abything
keep speaker IDs on screen so we know who is who (switching over to Summize screen meant missed some screen ID slates)
his cool hat. Should see the straw one too.
justinmwhitaker - hmmm, interesting. Will have to look into that as that would have some advantages.
larak - yes, that was another great idea and a simple one to do too. Will do for sure.
pchaney - is that an Indiana Jones one? I'll have to update my pic with mine on too
AaronMSB If you view from the timeline, you won't have to reload.
codyrobert helped create a quick app that reformats the plurk page into a more IRC chat style window but is still live in the timeline.
davidalston you guys certainly aren't getting much help from Twitter lately LOL
aaronMSB - Firefox still gives me issues on occasion but less so now that I'm on 3.0
ambercadabra - that was another reason I wanted to test drive plurk today
David, I would love to be on the speaker roster for one of the Twebinars. Let me know how I could contribute to the discussion.
As a
Connie fan to the hilt, I wholeheartedly endorse that idea!
BTW, David we have already talked about doing a plurkshop on social media measurement after I mentioned Radian 6 several times.
Care to host that plurkshop for us? I'll gladly be a participant rather than moderator if you're available. We haven't set a time.
connie - would love to have you part of the Twebinar discussion during this series too. On Twitter for sure.
Just keep Twitter running for me, David, and I'll be glad to be part of that Twebinar.
connie - Yes I would love to host the social media measurement plurkshop. I was interested in getting involved after reading the thread...
Wonderful, David. I mentioned Radian6 the other night and everybody wanted to know more.
AmberCadabra and
DebinDenver are scheduling.
connie - If I could keep Twitter running I could probably achieve hero status - but alas I am just a mere mortal
I'm scheduling? LOL well
DavidAlston if you're really interested in hosting a plurkshop perhaps next week, i'll defer to your schedule
Connie - i have a feeling this one's gonna be a big 'un.
ambercadabra - my schedule is wide open every afternoon next week for a social media monitoring plurkshop - let me know.
waynesutton - did you happen to make the twebinar last week - any feedback?
davidalston fantastic! How about next Thursday, you pick the time. I'll email you with a few other details abt the chat thing
ambercadabra Thursday it is then. 2PM EDT would be great. Let me know if this works.
today's workshop on feedback on the Twebinar series is wrapping up? Anyone else on their ideas?
all of the feedback on how to improve for the next Twebinar. Any other thoughts?
Thanks AaronMSB
sorry I missed the conversation. I was in the ocean, teaching my daughter how to body surf.
I'm trying to read 70+ comments really fast. These Plurkshops are neat.
chrisbrogan - I knew you were and glad you have been spending time with the fam. All the feedback recorded here so no prob. Lovin plurk.
davidalston all good. I'll shoot you an email and start telling folks to join us.
davidalston is da bomb for doing this plurkshop. Lends credibility to the concept.
chrisbrogan - really great way to sum up some helpful feedback for us to use on the next twebinar. Thx to all for their thoughts.
pchaney - I have you to thank for raising the awareness of the concept since it was your post on the weekend that made me aware. thx
ambercadabra - sounds great. david [at}
radian6.com is how to reach me when you have the deets. thx for everything today.
I thought the Twebinar was a successful medium to connect and network with new people. I know I met a ton of new friends.
happy to better understand these plurkshops things, and grateful for people's twebinar feedback.
that twitter may not have been the best application to carry conversations of the webinar, maybe Plurk is better for that?
chrisbrogan - excited about the feedback today and have some ideas to share with you when you are back from well-deserved vacay with fam.
davemurr - thx Dave. Yes a lot of people were saying they picked up many new follows as a side benefit.
chrisbrogan pchaney - actually I think Paul through out the term already this weekend in his post. Like it.
davemurr - after this plurkshop today I'm starting to think the same thing
David, just sent you a private msg. If you can't see it in main timeline, change setting at right to only private plurks.
Okay, gotta bag. Have fun, tough guys. : )
Twebinars would be more useful if they were just multi-hour, but not real-time. Peruse at leisurely pace, review as necessary.
connie - just sent you back a message - hope it worked
jalperin - Hmm, tell me more - would we miss the "shared moment" feedback on Twitter that way tho?
had trouble paying attn to twitter side and really absorbing the video portion. i stopped with twitter and just watched video.
davidmullen - good point, certainly was a challenge. Perhaps we could shift back in forth with a bit of overlap somehow?
could work. i understand its a work in progress. i'll give it some thought and share any ideas i have with you and chris.
Sorry to be late to post, and maybe this was covered. But it seemed like Twitter was used to just recap the Twebinar. Not to converse.
I thought it was interesting w/lots of great info., but I didn't need a recap of it as I was watching it. Maybe I am missing the ponint?
I come from china. And i need David Alston's Email. We are translating his article, and we want to publish it.so i need to contact him.
summize helped to organize comments but signal-to-noise ratio was rough to handle
summize is good, but it's still not a conversation. I like the idea of a live Q&A.
or perhaps, watch the webinar and then tweet/plurk the Qs in for As from Chris?
bethharte agreeing that the lack of a conversational mode with presenters was huge minus. Need a chat plugin for webcon to make it work
bethharte - great ideas. Definitely looking at ways to shift the focus to and from the content and conversation would make sense.
bethharte - agreed we could have had more directed convo. We may try to do more live on the next one.
that you are tweaking the twebinars by asking for customer input.
jblossom - thanks for the post of feedback. I had read it but couldn't comment because the captcha was busted at the time.
fatwolf55 - david [at}
radian6.com is how to reach me. Someone did contact me already about the translation - was it a colleague of yours?
connie - this is such a cool way to focus some great feedback. Gears are in motion in my head for other great uses
connie - now that's a whole lotta karma to get your own custom smiley. Very impressed.
Nah, not karma. Someone here made it for me. I'd never have the patience to earn enough karma for that.
