I'd resolve not to be late for Mass next year, but I know better. I'm not despairing, necessarily, just not resolving.

From the kitchen: Mom, I'm eating cake... From my seat, a scream. Because I WILL NOT be making another cake for tomorrow. Sigh.

I've been thinking resolutions all week and I'm still coming up blank. Is this foreshadowing for how 2010 shall be for me? (Hope not!)

Phew. Time allowed plus amount of tape was sufficient for b-day present wrapping. Now, to make hot chocolate for the barn-cleaning crew!

Why, oh why, did I forget to buy TAPE at the store? The window for wrapping tomorrow's b-day presents is NOW...things might get creative!

Got in the car this morning for shopping spree at TSC and realized we can still smell remnants of yesterday's horse farm adventure.

Memo to self: shop for the Jan. 1st birthday BEFORE CHRISTMAS if you want to get the neato horsey stuff that TSC no longer has...

Listening to "O Night Divine" by The Priests, I find myself misty-eyed. I guess I do love Christmas, don't I?

It doesn't get much better than a morning at the horse farm and the smell of it still in my car.
