The missing count keeps rising right along side the death toll. I don’t know anything about flood search and rescue but that seems so wrong to me, here four days (?) into this. It feels to me like the efforts must be insufficient for them to be adding 100 people to the missing list at this late date. 161 now missing after this long.
I want to help somehow. I want them to find some of those people before it’s too late. Are the feds doing anything?
I believe surrounding states are helping with the search, but when you see it live or recorded, either way, it does not seem like search and rescue teams are there.
Also, there were ppl in the state who could not help because their own roads were washed away or flooded.
Right. It’s obviously a huge undertaking that should be a priority for the government, state and national. And it doesn’t feel like it is. It feels like they are busy doing other things gs and leaving these communities to deal with it themselves.
Problem with the missing people count is that a lot of people were on vacation so no one reports them misssing until their vacation is supposed to be ended and they don't turn up.
seems like more bad news is coming before we start to find out how bad this all is
