I'll never climb the corporate ladder, or amass great wealth, make some world changing scientific discovery, or attain much fame. And, I'm OK with that.
Not everyone can be a motor of social change. Society also needs little cogs to transform power into movement. You are still essential for the people around you. Isn't that the most important part?
Absolutely. I love my life. I was just ruminating on how, when we are young, we have grand dreams and aspirations. Then, somewhere along the line, we realize that they are beyond our grasp and become content with more mundane things.
I decided to not move to a leading position. I am with my company for 25 years now. Only because you are level 1 of the corporate ladder doesn't mean you are mediocre.
