wow. Several of my son's high school teachers text him regularly with homework and reminders. What a life saver that would have been for me. I'm so glad to see them making use of the technology!
my sons science teacher actually created an app for his class. It has homework, notes, and a calendar. It was fun to help him debug it

My daughter's english teacher cuts out the middle man and emails me her homework!
me: "Do you have any english homework?" daughter: "no!" me: ..... daughter: "oh man.....she emailed you again???"
