after all these years in SL, this is still something I don't know. If I drag a bunch of stuff to a box, and inspect the box, and some of it doesn't show up, did only some of it end up there?

because, if you come back and look later, it's all there. But I don't know if it's really ALL there, or just more of it, or if it's the display part that's messed up, or if it really takes a while for things

to "move" to the box, and if I interrupt that process, does it stop them from moving. Etc.

this is relevant to me right now doing inventory cleaning. SO many large files of textures I want to box, and I have no idea if I'm getting them all into the box.

this probably sounds like jibberish lol. But if you've ever boxed items by dragging lots of them at once, you might be able to work out what I'm asking

yep, noticed this too, I think it just takes some time

i've found that it usually makes its way into the box. i always check back later to see if it looks like its all there before i delete the original folder in my inventory and i won't pick the box up till it

refreshes.

yeah, that's what I do, but I get all paranoid and I'm not SURE it's all there. And with these texture files that have sometimes 100 variations or more, it's really tedious to try and go through the box and

see if they all really transferred

I just wish I knew if it was an "all or nothing" sort of thing. Like if you see some of them, they really are all there, and it's just the display that lags showing them.

textures i put in a texture organizer which has a texture counter hover text over it. so i always know how many went in.

I was just thinking how helpful it would be if the inventory listed the number of items in a folder. And a rezzed box too.

I use the kinEx organizer. Is that a feature you have to turn on?
Renee Harvy says

I've had this one forever and never, ever read the directions
when you click on the config gear at the side.. click on "text bar" and "Text bar on"
then it shows the numbers and name of texture you are showing
Renee Harvy says

plus, forever and never updated it, so maybe not this version. I'll check though. That would help a lot. At least I'd only be counting the folder then

text bar is on. I did that again, just to be sure, and all it shows me is the name, no numbers
