looking at the BNHA zine mess (hallowzine where the mods just up and left with people's money lol), I'm thinking now about how lucky I've been with buying zines. Everything I've ever ordered has come in mostly fine
there was that one FFXIV zine that came in looking rather banged up and also didn't come with the enamel pins because "issues with the manufacturer" but touch wood, I've never been scammed to date
I really got lucky lmao I never checked people's backgrounds to make sure they were trustworthy and everything. I see a thing, I like it, I buy it
I guess that's the problem when you mix a bandwagon, young fandoms and huge amounts of money
yep...there was that for-charity Overwatch zine from a couple of years back too. The mods took the money and apparently spent it on themselves ;;
thinking back now I have no idea what happened with the HQ Writer Zine either? Preorders went up, and I think people did receive their orders but nothing was really for sure either..
by the way, if you see doujins or zines you want, you can always ask me to get them for you
