I've finished the main story... and just found out that Hacker's Memories is another 18 chapters OTL

what can I say about the game... the worldbuilding is great, the environment design is INCREDIBLE, the music is good and it's easy enough to level up. I really liked the lore too

but half of the cast being the way they are made it really hard to get invested lol

I adored Kyoko and Alphamon and Arata (before his edgelord turn lmao) and even Suedou. Had the cast been more nuanced and subtle, I think I would have liked this game a whole lot more

the stakes are arguably lower on the whole (stopping Eden's destruction vs stopping Mother Eater/the whole boundary collapse in CS) and yet because I feel so much closer to the cast, I have a personal investment in the story and its end

plus the return and expanding on all the awesome characters who didn't get a lot of spotlight in CS, Matayoshi-san, Date and Fei

wow Yu making use of his network that he formed during his time with K and bringing a ton of manpower to help with the hacking
