the graphics update is of course impressive, and I love the more modern features they've added, like the EXP share/no more HM slaves/finally we get AUTOSAVE and I love Saturn a lot more, but at the same time the original DPPt holds such a special place in my heart, and already had very good graphics to begin with, that a frame-by-frame remake that brings--

nothing new to the table just feels a bit...lacking in soul, for lack of better words

I'm hearing that a portion of the fanbase wanted a remake to be as faithful to the original game as possible. On one hand I understand, and on the other I also don't lmao (just go back and replay the original then?)

but then we get Pokemon Legends Arceus from the GF team which will be pretty much a whole new game so I'm very excited and I can forgive BDSP

the cutscene was very good! I think if BDSP had used full-sized human models, the impact would have been greater
