I got a worrying backache in October because my cushion was too flimsy and I had to keep still for consecutive video meetings. Mostly recovered from that, but that also got me thinking that I really should get a better chair, even if the plastic chair has served me really well

I got this for a 3-digit sum..!! And the delivery was so fast too. I ordered on Friday 3 pm, got a call to arrange delivery at 5 pm, and the chair got here on Sat 10 am haha

I REALLY like the look of the (really pricey) Aeron chair from HM, but the sis said I should probably settle for a brand that I know I would love if I was going to be spending that much money. Plus the reviews were fairly polarising too, along with problems of the seat edge/seat mesh irritating people's thighs... but I hope that one day I can at least sit on

one of those haha

Steelcase Leap was another one that I considered too, but the back isn't mesh and it sounded like the seat could get warm quick, so that too was out

the Haworth chairs look a lot like the ones in my office (and I love my office chair!) and I found a listing for the Fern at a really good price, so I settled on that in the end

I keep forgetting I have wheels under my seat now, so when I swing my heels back, it hits the wheels and ouch

anyway looking for ergonomic chairs has made me realise that I actually do quite enjoy looking at nicely designed office chairs haha

an update on my lovely Haworth Fern - my back has adapted to it and I LOOOOOOOVE it. It's so comfy

it's gotten to the point where my office chair at work actually feels uncomfortable to sit on in comparison now LMAO

my back ache is mostly gone now too, even my shoulder doesn't ache all that much now. Though that might also be due to my regular exercises haha

good chairs really make all the difference
