I feel like I was playing a Pokemon game for the first time again. The excitement and wonder of exploration is strong

The game feels mystic. I can only describe it as 神秘. Beautiful

wild Pokemon dealing a ton of damage makes sense too. Plenty of people talking about how Pokemon are terrifying and dangerous means that unless you were part of Diamond and Pearl clans, people haven't been living with Pokemon all that long

so a 'trainer' wouldn't have the knowledge of Pokemon moves and defence that a modern-day trainer does, not knowing how to call attacks and tell their Pokemon to dodge/defend and all that

this on top of wild Pokemon generally not trusting humans as much (some Pokemon running away from you and some running AT you lol) means they're gonna do whatever it takes to chase you away

I had to redo the Lilligant fight because passed out to 'mechs' har har, but I appreciate that there's an option for people to continue from their last point or to restart from the top
