[Work] Apparently the new COO still doesn't quite understand the nature of the overall situation with the support team.

I'm hoping my boss schedules a meeting with him soon for me to sit in on because he needs to get this drilled into his head.

[Workbitch] I'm not sure how many times I have to go over the basic table structure of this system with my boss before I throw my hands up. Once I get my admin tool project up and running this going to be a dead simple coup as I'll actually have time on my hands again.

[More Work Stuff] Okay, looks like the app I'm building can't do a couple of things our main app can do, which is honestly a relief cause I want to make thing great for internal use only.

[Work Project Thing] So um.... I didn't initially set out to do a video auditing tool but uh......huh.

[Work] I spent about 10 or so hours last weekend working on building the new utility/library for admin functions that should have existed in the first place and that there's no allocated work hours to develop.

I showed what I made to the boss of my previous programming team and he sounded very pleased.

This is going to be such a coup.

[Work addendum] ... apparently nobody bothered to tell the new COO just how much effort goes into internal support vs. customer support??

[Workbitch] Have finally come to the realization that I'm going to have to really dig my way out of this mess, and if when I'm done they don't reward me, I'm beating someone with the shovel.

[Workbitch] I'm done. I'm literally just done.

This is the THIRD bit of scope creep in two weeks.

Nuh-uh... NO.

They LITERALLY DON'T PAY ME ENOUGH to do this.

Some weeks grind you down and then you look at the LARP DB and think "I fucking made that." (except the layouts, thanks always, jantra) and you feel a tiny bit better.
