1 Million/10. This here book shattered all of my expectations and standards and raised them by 5 million or sumthing. Point is, no romance will ever come close to making me feel the things I felt while reading this adorable ass book. Check my GoodReads for more

For more information about these adorably fluffy creatures, visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium's website atMonterey Bay Aquarium!
They have fun live cams of their animals and even narrated feedings!

Please remember, otters are still wild animals that can be dangerous to humans. If you find one that has been stranded, call (886) 767-6114 !!

Otter pups have to stay with their mothers for at least 6 months before venturing off on their own. Unfortunately, in 2002, Rosa was found to have been interacting with humans and was brought back to the MBA and deemed nonreleasable by the USFAWS (look it up).
4. There are currently 4 otters at the MBA, Ivy, Selka, Ruby, and Kit.

3. Continuing with the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Rosa was the oldest otter to live in an aquarium/rehabilitation center, at a whopping 24 years old. She was also a surrogate mother up until 2020, she raised 15 abandoned otter pups! Rosa was found as an orphan as well in 1999 at just 4-weeks old, she was taken in by the MBA and re-released 6-8 months later

Because they have so much fur, they have extensive grooming routines. If you see an otter scratching at their backs or parts of their body, they're probably grooming :3

2. Sea Otters love ice! At aquariums such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium, they use ice as an enrichment activity. Rosa, who recently passed in June of last year, loved ice!
