[work] so after figuring out that my total commute to and from work would take 5 hours everyday because of all the road closures and high water, my manager has given me the whole weekend off

[hurricane/work] good news, I made it to work!
not so good news: had to drive an extra hour in the opposite direction before I could get to it.

[harvey update] the moment when you hear on the radio that a flood area predicted to happen is literally 3 blocks away.

[harvey] second try getting to work: unsuccessful. every conceivable road to worl is blocked due to high water. going on day four of being off!

[mute] just more hurricane talk

[rl/work] me: /drives around for 40 minutes
me: /met with high water everywhere
guess I won't be going to work

[RL/Hurricane Talk/Work] Sigh. Looks like my store is open tomorrow. Guess I'll be going in.

[RL/Hurricane talk pt2?] So, I had to drive 30 miles an hour with my hazard lights on but I managed to get home from work!

[work] Was told by a whole bunch of guests that we're the only Starbucks open this side of town. Was also told by one guest "NOT TO RUSH CAUSE NO ONE'S GOING ANYWHERE XDDD" when I had a line of like 10 people and I was the only one working.
